General Information

The service passport (given with the vehicle) contains manufacturer's warranty policy and recommendation on the regular maintenance and free service schedule which is necessary to ensure that your vehicles give you many years of trouble-free driving.

Memorandum of Registration and P.D.I Passport

Before delivering the vehicle to you, we perform the pre-delivery inspection in accordance to the HMC standard.

1,000 KM Engine Oil Change (For Passenger Cars)

Upon driving around 1,000 km, you are kindly requested to hand over your vehicle to us for service. The 1,000 KM Engine Oil change will be carried out free of labor charge except material cost such as engine oil and filters.

5,000 KM Engine Oil Change (For Mini Buses, Vans and Light Trucks)

Upon driving around 5,000 KMs, you are kindly requested to hand over your car again to us. The 5,000 KM Engine Oil change will be carried out free of labor charge except material cost such as engine oil and filters.

Owner's Responsibility

Regular maintenance carried out by qualified mechanics is the key to safety and reliability for your car according to Hyundai's recommended inspection schedule, which will be performed on your initiative by us.

Daily Care

Before driving your car each day, pre-operational inspections described in owner's Manual are required on your responsibility.

Hyundai Warranty Policy


Hyundai Vehicle is manufactured from the finest materials with the latest automobile engineering techniques and the most advanced methods of quality control. To ensure continued efficiency and prolonged vehicle life, Hyundai offer you a generous warranty for this new vehicle according to the following terms:

Warranty Period

Passenger Vehicles :

Below mentioned vehicles have normal warranty period of 36 months or 60000km, which ever occurs first. Except consumable parts like Brake pads, Clutch disc & Filters; for which warranty period is 1 year or 20000 kms, which ever occurs first.

Further, excludes Battery (and Radio Cassette Player in XG vehicles), which have a warranty period of 2 years and 40000 kms, which ever ends first.

Accent, Elantra, Sonata, XG (Grandeur), Santa-Fe, Coupe, Trajet, Matrix, Centennial, Galloper, Atos, H-1, H-100, Terracan.

Commercial Vehicles :
For commercial vehicles warranty period is 24 months or 50000kms, which ever occurs first. Except Battery and radio for which warranty period is 12 months or 20000kms which ever occurs first.

What is Covered by the Warranty :
Any part (except tires & tubes - which are covered by Tyre manufacturers) of the vehicle manufactured or supplied by Hyundai, that is found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance.

What is not covered by the warranty :

1) Defects judged by Hyundai as attributable to the negligence of the periodical inspections and services as specified in the Owner's Manual or Service Passport.
2) Any troubles caused by an excessive use, insufficient maintenance, careless handling or accident.
3) Any difficulty or breakage due to the use of parts which are not Hyundai genuine parts or such lubricants as specified in the Owner's Manual.
4) Any vehicle modified without approval from the Hyundai.
5) Any device or accessories installed by any parties other than Hyundai.
6) Deterioration or rusting of plated parts, paint coat, rubber parts, upholstery and soft trim, which will be occurred from normal exposure and use.
7) Very slight troubles, which are generally not accepted as caused by defect in material and workmanship, and/or difficulties, which happens in very special operation only.
1. Very small and low sound or vibration, which is not recognized as affecting quality or function of the vehicle.
2. Very slight oozing of oil or the like about packing and or oil seals, which causes no decrease in the quantity of the oil or the like.
3. Gaps between panels which are within the limits set by Hyundai.
4. External appearance defect such as paint, chrome and trim, which are not visual unless magnified by special means.
5.

Corrosion and external damage caused by stone chips, gravel or other form of impact, discolouration of fading as a result of insects, tree sap, tar, acid rain, surface scratch, dent, hail, windstorm or lighting, industrials fall out or pollution, poor previous repair or misuse.

Normal maintenance service:
Checking, tightening, adjusting, engine tune-ups, fuel system adjustment, cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, replenishment of fuel, battery electrolyte fluid, coolant (anti-freeze, anti-rust) and brake & clutch fluid.

Normal Replacement of service Items:
Spark plugs, ignition points, condensers, wiper blades, fuses, brake and clutch linings or pad, filters, nozzles, glow plugs, lamp bulbs, fan belt and other similar consumables etc...

8.

Loss of use of the vehicle, loss of time, loss or damage to personal property or loss of revenues, inconvenience and other consequential damages such as expenses for petrol, telephone, travel, lodging and towing.

9. Any paint defects or problems arising out of cargo compartment (Trucks Only)

Obtaining Warranty Service
Warranty service will be provided by us, without charge for parts or labor. This warranty will not apply to the warranty service performed by other than authorized Hyundai distributors or dealers.

Exclusion of all other warranty
This warranty is given in place of all other warranties expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability of fitness which extends.
